Patent Search

invention process, invent idea, inventors patents

Doing a patent search just makes sense!

Would you buy a used car with out having it inspected first? What if the car has a bad motor, or a bad transmission? Would you spend $5,000 on it if you knew you would not be able to drive it? If you answered no why in the world would you proceed to spend $5,000 or more on a patent if you will never get it? For 1/50 the cost of a patent Inventors IPO will do a thorough search and give you our professional opinion as to whether we think you should proceed.

What is a Patent Search?
A patent search is a thorough search of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in order to determine if there is prior art. Inventors IPO will perform a patent search on your behalf and render an honest opinion as to whether you should proceed with the patent process. Since we do not make any money from you obtaining a patent you can rest assured that we will render an honest opinion.

How does it work?
First we sign a non-disclosure agreement for security. Second we begin the Product analysis Study. Once we have a good understanding of your invention we will begin our search. We will do a thorough search of the U.S. Patent and Trademark database, and then render our decision.

Here is how it works
We sign a non-disclosure
You tell us about your idea in detail
We search the US Patent and Trademark database going back 20 years
We return to you the 3 closest matches to your idea
We give you an honest opinion as to whether you should proceed.

Why do I need one?
How about saving between $5,000 to $10,000 dollars. Obtaining a patent with out a patent search is like playing Russian Roulette with your wallet. It doesn't make sense. Sure you may get a patent without one, but the cost of the search is nothing compared to the cost of a patent. If a simple search can show you that your idea is already out there, or tell you to proceed why wouldn't you get one?

How much do you charge?
Inventors IPO only charges $950 to perform the Product Analysis Study which includes the patent search. A thorough search usually takes 3-5 business days. We will mail you the 3 closest patent matches to what your invention pertains, along with our recommendation of patentability. It's that simply. We only charge $950 dollars because our profit is made by licensing, selling and manufacturing. We are in the opinion that if we do a good job on your search, when it comes time to market your product you will come to us.
